On Thursday April 10th four students from the Sint Maarten Academy namely James Brooks, Brandon Blake, Nathan Clifford and O’Heny Lorendent under the guidance of the school counselor Mrs. Lisa Peynado visited to Philipsburg Police Station to give presentation they had prepared.
This presentation was the result of a challenge made by the Community Police Officer Major Felix Richards during a presentation he had given to these students approximately 2 weeks ago concerning Community Development and male Self-empowerment. Some of the topics that were discussed by these students during this presentation were taxes and the environment. The presentation was a well put together power presentation during which each student got the opportunity to explain what they would do if they were the leaders of country Sint Maarten by diminishing taxes and cleaning up the island. The officers present during this presentation were quite impressed and encouraged the students to continue with their great work.
