TelEm Group technicians will be carrying out major repair work to a main telecommunication cable in the Pelican area Wednesday morning and as a result telecommunication services to residential and business properties will be affected.
Hotels and guesthouses operating in the Pelican area are especially asked to take note of the repair works and to inform their clients and guests.
Repair to the damaged cable will improve telecommunication services for business and residential clients in Pelican.
Workmen will begin work at 6:00 in the morning and expect to complete the repairs by 12:00 noon.
A similar repair operation will also take place on another segment of the same cable on Friday, March 22, during the same work hours. Service will once again be interrupted.
"On completion of this repair we will be going a long way towards improving customer satisfaction with coverage in the Pelican area," said TelEm Group Outside Plant Manager, Mr. Marco London.
He said all attempts will be made to restore all services as soon as possible WEDNESDAY and Friday, once the complicated repair works have been carried out.
Mr. London has meantime apologized to TelEm Group customers in the Pelican area for any inconvenience caused by the interruption in services.
