New Carnival Ship Valor takes over from the Victory

A new Carnival ship is now berthing at St. Kitts’ Port Zante as the 2012/2013 Cruise Ship Season continues.

The 2,758-passenger capacity Carnival Victory, which has been visiting St. Kitts year-round, has been replaced by the 110,000-gross ton Carnival Valor.

 

The US$500 million Valor, which has a passenger capacity of 2,974-passengers, docks every Friday at Port Zante. Today, the Valor arrived from St. Lucia with3,213 passengers and 1,149 crew onboard.

The last visit by the Carnival Victory was January 25th with the Carnival Valor making its first visit on February 8th During the 2012/2013 season, the Victory brought a total of 59,000 passengers from 17 calls, while the Valor is expected to bring an estimated 125,000 passengers from 34 port calls.

Like the Carnival Victory, the Carnival Valor, will visit during the unofficial cruise season during the months of May, June, July, August, September and October. It is from the Conquest-class cruise ship and is the 

largest Carnival cruise ship.

Carnival Valor, which was home ported in Miami, Florida has been repositioned to San Juan, Puerto to take over for the Carnival Victory and do 7 day Southern Caribbean cruises.
