A delegation from St. Maarten Harbour Group of Companies, comprising CEO Mark Mingo, CFO Ton van Kooten and Supervisory Board Members Renald Williams met with the captain and other ship’s officials aboard the vessel for the traditional plaque exchange ceremony.
The captain was very impressed with plaque from the harbour group featuring an aerial view of Norwegian Star just after she came into port in the morning.
St. Maarten is "one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean," the captain said, adding that it would be nice if the ship made regular calls here next season.
Van Kooten and Williams answered questions about the destination and the operations of the harbour group especially about the fuel bunking of several vessels in port. The captain and Staff Captain Martin Holmqvist were curious about the fuelling operations.
