“SMMC Open house gives our community the opportunity to get a free clinical breast examination from several medical practitioners housed under one roof. Since 2011, the Positive and Elektralytes Foundations have partnered with SMMC to provide 100 free mammograms to individuals who need a mammogram but do not have the means to pay for one. We encourage women 18 years and older to come out on Saturday October 26 from 10 am – 2pm to the SMMC. Historically, this is largest free screening opportunity. Participants can expect to also receive free breast cancer awareness literature “ said Shelly Alphonso, President of the Positive Foundation.
SMMC encourages all women to come out and take this opportunity to get their annual screenings done and thanks the Positive Foundation and the Elektralytes Foundation for their commitment to the cause.
