It’s another year and another pre-audition run to find St. Maarten’s super talented youth for the upcoming TelCell Breakthough auditions set for August 19.
Once again the auditions are slated to be held at the Cultural Center, Backstreet, but this year, co-organizers, Xtratight Promotions and mobile provider TelCell, will be ramping up their search in celebration of their 5th hosting of the year’s most anticipated youth talent show.
“We are looking out for our very best singers, dancers, rappers, instrumentalists and other talents that we have spotlighted over the years, but this year we are looking for that extra special act that will just blow everyone away on our Fabulous 5th staging of TelCell Breakthrough,” said co-organizer from TelCell, Angel Richardson.
She said in anticipation of what’s to come on August 19, organizers will be visiting various schools from this week, starting Monday, to talk to the youth about the show and how they can prepare for the auditions.
“They have all seen how past performers and winners from their own schools have been shot into the entertainment limelight after participating and winning one of the several categories that will be judged, and we will be inviting them to put their names to the special 5th anniversary list of winners this year,” continued Angel.
She said the youth will be informed about new Online registration forms that are being promoted this year so that more of the island’s youth can register for the upcoming auditions.
“All they have to do is visit the TelCell Facebook page and follow the link to the TelCell Breakthrough Online Registration from, it’s as easy as that,” assured Angel.
The TelCell representative noted that while promotion has started for a new group of Breakthrough contestants, last year’s winners, George Woodley, Aesha Gibson, Keeshaun Hodge, Leo Alexander and Diandra Marlin, are still very busy behind the scenes working on their music video and appearing in several promotions for TelCell.
“If all goes well we will be launching the group’s Video and CD on June 26th to once again showcase to the world what talented youth we have on St. Maarten,” said the TelCell Breakthrough co-organizer.
