Training Professional International Firm Community Affairs Department is pleased to inform youth ages 13-15 that they can apply to become a prestigious TPI, Youth Empowered for Success, (YES) Academy Member. The application process opens on May 16, 2017 through June 12th. 2017.
This distinguished honor will allow (10) youth to participate in an Academy Program that is fun-filled, energy driven, captivating, with an engaging platform inclusive of workshops, seminars and field trips on non-school hours, once a month for 1 year with the option to graduate to YES Level II program after the first year.
Members will gain a comprehensive trainings and workshops in the following areas once accepted and enrolled in the Academy: Social Skills, Etiquette Principles, Professional Job Exploration, Banking, Home Ownership, Relationships, The Art of Professionalism, International Relations, Hospitality Careers, Volunteerism, Email Etiquette, Public Speaking, The Keys to Success, Sales Techniques, Cooking Basics, Writing 101, Journaling, Healthy Living, and Entrepreneurship.
The selected 2017 YES Academy Level I Members will meet once a month for a year outside of school hours. After the first year, the current Academy members will manage the selection process with Coordinators for the new 10 recruits to gain experience in Project Development, Management and Planning.
The President & CEO of TPI, Dr. Gittens stated in a recent press conference, TPI is thrilled to have such a progressive Community Affairs Department with innovative staff that places such value and significance on the younger generation of the Caribbean, St. Maarten specifically. TPI will fund the program for the first year, members and their families will incur no cost(s) and members will be provided with uniforms. TPI Community Affairs Mangers is currently approaching St. Maarten organizations to join forces in this much-needed venture and pledge a monetary amount to support the program for the next five years.
