CBCS host the XIXth Annual Conference of Human Resource Managers of Central Banks in the Caribbean Region

WILLEMSTAD – The Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten from 23 to 26 August for the third time hosting the annual conference of Human Resource Managers of Central Banks of the Caribbean “XIXth Annual Conference of Human Resource Managers of Central Banks in the Caribbean Region. “

As the theme of 2016 was chosen: HR Managers as Strategic Business Partners.

To take the conference HR Managers of Central Banks of Aruba, Trinidad & Tobago, Belize, Suriname, Barbados, Bahamas and Guyana share.

The conference is Tuesday started with a lecture by Prof. Jaap Paauwe of the University of Tilburg. His lecture was entitled “High performance work systems: The challenge for HR Business Partners. The interest in the lecture, which was also open to local HRmanagers was great. The lecture was followed by a workshop in which the participants were able to further discuss this issue.

Wednesday, August 24, the lecture of Dr. Gerard Evers on the program. Dr. Evers is the director of the consulting firm Euro-HRM. His lecture is titled “Evidence-based and business-wise HRM: The case of strategic workforce planning.”

Other topics this week will be discussed are: “Impact of Strategic Management on the Human Resource department,” “Driven by Results”, “Strategies for Responding to an Aging Workforce” and “Strategically assesing your Succession Plan”.
