JCI LIVE Soualiga which is a new Chapter on St. Maarten, will be holding its first annual Youth Public Speaking Competition with the participants being students of the various High Schools of St. Maarten.
The topic for this year is: “The Relevance of Youth participation in Social Responsibility projects”

The students has been busy putting their speeches together for the past few weeks and are very enthusiastic to let their audience know what their taught are on this very important topic..
The winner will receive attractive prizes and will represent St. Maarten in the JCI Dutch Caribbean Youth Public Speaking Competition to be held during the National Convention to be held in Curacao on October, 15th – 17th 2015.
St. Maarten has been capturing the grand prize for many years now so we are looking forward to bringing back that prize home.
The objective of this project is to empower students by developing their public speaking skills. This will enable students to be eloquent speakers thus boosting their confidence whenever they have to address the public, school meetings /sessions, debating competitions and orientation. This event will be an annual one since there is need in the community for such trainings to be done in order for our students to grow and develop leadership skills and to become good leaders.
