Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (Ministry TEATT) Hon. Claret Connor received a very important guest at his Cabinet to discuss some national issues. Giomari Hodge was accompanied by his mother Yosaira Ramos.
Giomari wanted to meet with Minister Connor and to ask some questions regarding his portfolios along with some personal questions such as, what are the areas of responsibility under the minister. What are your hobbies and the schooling and education that you obtained?
Six-year old Giomari wants to serve his country in law enforcement when he grows up.
“I encouraged Giomari to be a good son to his parents, and a good student in school, and to make us proud in whatever he chooses to do. I made a promise to little Giomari that I will visit his class in the near future to meet his teacher and the rest of his class mates.
“I was impressed with the assignment for our children of the island to get to know a bit more of their leaders. These interactions are important for our young people. I also find these types of interactions very therapeutic personally, as they put the purpose of my responsibilities into the correct perspective which is securing a better future and livelihood for our youth who are the leaders of current and future generations to come, for country Sint Maarten,” Minister Hon. Claret Connor said on Sunday.
