In connection with the funeral service of the late Sylvanie C. Williams-Rogers, which is scheduled for Thursday May 7th 2015 at the Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Simpson Bay the police department is announcing the following traffic measures:
The Old Simpson Bay road will be closed from 01.00 p.m. to 05.00 p.m. from the Simpson Bay Police Station to the Simpson Bay Cemetery at the Sister Regina road. This traffic measure has been taken, to place a tent in front of the church to accommodate the public who will be attending the funeral service.
The Alley connecting the Sister Modesta road to the Old Simpson Bay road (next to the church) will be reserved and used for dignitaries to be dropped off and get access to the church.
When classes have over at the Sister Regina School in Simpson Bay the parking area will be used for the parking of the vehicles used by the dignitaries.
Only residents of the Old Simpson Bay road will be granted access to their homes or businesses at the barricades. Police are requesting these persons to park their vehicles on one side of the street. This measure is to allow free passage of funeral car and emergency vehicles, in case of an emergency.
All drivers should take keen note of this information to avoid any unnecessary inconvenience.
