CIBC FIRSTCARIBBEAN ROADSHOW HELD FOR BUSINESS OWNERS
Philipsburg, ST.MAARTEN, March 3rd, 2015 – Small business owners were taken on a ‘Journey to Success’ at a recent CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank Business Banking Roadshow.
The business owners were attending the special session held by the bank in collaboration with international accounting firm BDO. Participants heard from branch Manager, Mr. Whitfield Vlaun, who gave an in-depth presentation entitled ‘Accounting Advice for Better Business Management’.
The session, which was held at Sheer Restaurant, also explored such topics as: ‘The importance of effective record keeping and financial management’, ‘Managing the capital structure of your business’ and ‘Separation of commercial and personal business’.
This was one of a series of sessions held across selected territories in the region in recent months aimed at sharing advice and expertise with CIBC FirstCaribbean business customers and to highlight the bank’s suite of Business Banking products and services.
CIBC FirstCaribbean and BDO which share a common footprint in nine markets in the region will give a similar presentation to CIBC clients in the Cayman Islands in early March.
