Ministry of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Development and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI), hereby announces there will be interruption to the traffic flow on the Welgelegen Road, Cay Hill from the section between Supermarket Ekono and the Bus parking lot.
The closure will start on Thursday, July 17 from 6.00am until Friday, July 18 at 4.30pm.
The road closure is in connection with the installation of a sewage pit and drainage pipe being carried out by Windward Roads.
All traffic coming from AJ Brouwers Road direction St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) will have to use Tiger Road – Jaguar Road- Hyena Road ending back on the Welgelegen Road.
All traffic coming from Octavius L. Richardson Road and out of the SMMC roundabout will have to take Puma Road- Jaguar Road – Tiger Road ending on Welgelegen Road.
Special attention will be made by the contractor to make the road available during the entire road closure day and night only for the Emergency vehicles such as Ambulance, Fire trucks and the Police.
Motorists and pedestrians are requested to be vigilant and observant for the traffic directional signs indicating what works are underway in the respective area, and that heavy equipment is also being used.
