USM in collaboration with the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Department Study Financing are introducing a University Preparatory Program, this program is created for graduates of TKL and PKL/PSVE.
The program entails GED tutor classes and preparatory courses in Math, English, Life Sciences and Languages.
Students will follow the preparatory courses during the morning hours and the GED tutor classes during the evening hours.
Students will also participate in a job placement program, which will be arranged by the St. Maarten Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Upon completion of the USM Preparatory Program, students will have to pass their GED exam and all preparatory courses in order to be eligible to enroll in a USM academic degree program. Students who completed the USM Preparatory Program successfully and enroll in a USM degree program are eligible to receive study financing to cover their tuition fees.
There is an information session scheduled for Wednesday June 28th, 2014 at 5:00pm in the USM conference room (room 208). Prospective students and parents are invited to attend to receive more information on this new program.
