The President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell on Wednesday morning welcomed 29 students and three teachers from the Caribbean International Academy (CIA) and Montessori School to the House of Parliament.
The students and teachers were given a tour of the House of Parliament besides role playing as Members of Parliament and Ministers.
In her introductory message, President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell welcomed the students and teachers and briefly spoke about the role of parliament in today’s society and development of country Sint Maarten.
“Our youths of today are very much on top of the issues that impact the quality of life of the people of the country. I enjoyed very much the engagement between the students who represented the Executive and Legislative branches of government in the role playing exercise,” President of Parliament Hon. Gracita Arrindell said on Wednesday.
President of Parliament, drs. Hon. Gracita Arrindell says it’s very important to continually engage the country’s youth in learning about the important role of the House and how it impacts the way of life of citizens with respect to the drafting of laws.
