The Ministry of Public Health Social Development & Labor in collaboration with Sheriff Security will be holding a registration and recruitment drive on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Department of Labor (Cannegieter Street parking lot) from 9AM – 1PM.
A DJ will provide music entertainment along with snacks, and a table with Job Placement Officers and Job Coach to facilitate the registration drive and provide on the spot advice and guidance. Persons that are unemployed and register during the drive will get three month’s free all-inclusive training; possibility to receive financial aid/medical aid during the training period and a one year employment contract after successful completion of the training program.
"I am encouraging all those that are unemployed to come out on Friday, January 31 and have yourself registered for an opportunity to get a job in the security field," said Minister De Weever. "This ministry remains committed to ‘Putting People First,’ so do come out and take advantage of this opportunity afforded to you."
Minister of Labor, Cornelius De Weever recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Sheriff Security as a means of getting more locals into the field of security. Sheriff Security will be on site with their command post, K9 unit and much more.
