The renovation of Kolegio San Bernardo at Kralendijk reached the highest point. This ‘spantenbier’ was celebrated last Tuesday November 19th 2013.
Commissioner Silvana Janga-Serfilia spoke on behalf of the clients, the Public Entity Bonaire and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, a laudatory word of thanks to the construction workers. School Director Jane Lo-a-Njoe- Brul and director Erik van Wordragen of Bonned Contractors NV traditionally poured out beer over the flag of Bonaire to celebrate the milestone. In May 2014 the school will be completely renovated.
By order of the government the Public Entity Bonaire, the Rijksgebouwendienst (Rgd) and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) is implementing the so-called Master plan Education Housing Bonaire (Masterplan Onderwijshuisvesting). The renovation of Kolegio San Bernardo is part of the master plan.
