The Philipsburg Jubilee Library has opened registration for their Halloween reading & costume party, which will be held on Saturday, October 26, from 6pm to 8pm.
The library has been organizing successful Halloween programs since 2009. At the core of the activities will be reading. Participating youngsters will be able to see the library’s garden transform into a haunted graveyard. Activities for the evening will include storytelling, educational games, arts & craft, as well as a graveyard hunt.
Registration is required at a cost of only 5 dollars or 9 guilders and will run from Thursday, October 17 to Saturday, October 26. The registration process can only be done at the library, during our opening hours, until space is filled. The library will only be accepting 45 applicants for this event. Children ages 8 -13 are welcome. Space is limited so parents are required to register their children as early as possible. Parents are advised to pick up their children on time when activities end at 8pm.
Participating children are asked to come dressed in their most creative costume and bring along a flashlight. Snacks and drinks will be available.
