Last Friday a number of staff from the Ministry of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure (Ministry of VROMI) graduated allowing them to better serve the Sint Maarten community.
Ministry VROMI Minister Hon. Maurice Lake said he is very proud of the staff that has completed another level of training to add to their existing skills and credentials.
The Minister stated at the graduation ceremony last week that the training will, "…lead to an enhancement in the work of the Ministry as the staff has been given additional tools in order to carry out their work.
"Country Sint Maarten is growing. Things are being put into place by us. We have our own Justice Academy which allows staff from different ministries to acquire the necessary qualifications which results in you being able to do your job.
"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you and wish you much success as you carry out your daily responsibilities in a well prepared and professional manner," Minister Hon. Maurice Lake told the Ministry VROMI graduates on Friday.
Minister Lake added that country Sint Maarten had a responsibility to offer its civil servants the opportunity to upgrade themselves which in turn would contribute to better improved services for the community.
