The Philipsburg Jubilee Library’s hosted it’s two-part "Power of Knowledge" series delivered by Rafael Boasman and Gwendolien Mossel at the library on Monday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 25, at 6:30pm.
Boasman, the current Head of the Department of Labor, addressed the key aspects of labour agreements and the termination of said agreements, in a two-part lecture on Monday, September 23 and Wednesday, September 25.
Mossel, Coordinator of Policy for Immigration and Border Protection (IBP) discussed visa requirements and the services offered by IBP on Wednesday, September 25.
"Both Boasman and Mossel were chosen to lecture because of their many years of experience and overall knowledge on labor and immigration on St. Maarten,"stated Morenika Arrindell, Library Public Relations/ Activity Manager.
"The Power of Knowledge Series" is a lecture series designed to equip and empower the community of St. Maarten with knowledge on various important topics that effect their everyday life. It is the intention to continue this series annually with topics ranging from housing, health, and nutrition.
