PM Presented with 2012 Annual Report by SONA Director
During the Council of Ministers meeting on Tuesday representatives from SONA/USONA gave on update to the Council of Ministers regarding the functioning of the organizations. SONA/USONA was represented by Mr. Richard Hart (chairman SONA), Mr. Miguel Alexander (board member SONA), Mr. George Lichtveld (secretary SONA), Mr. Reginaldo Doran (director USONA) and Angela Dekker (manager USONA St. Maarten).
During the meeting the Council of Ministers was supported by members of the Department of Interior and Kingdom Affairs as well as the Secretary General of General Affairs, Mr. Julien Larmonie. SONA/USONA presented the Prime Minister with a copy of their Annual Report 2012 and further discussed the topics regarding the finalization of the development programs and the 10th European Development Fund (EDF).
USONA is responsible for a legitimate and efficient management of the funds that donors make available for projects centered on institutional strengthening and reinforcement, education and youth, safety and socio-economic Initiative to Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba for development purposes. USONA is also responsible for the management of EU programs.
