Cay Hill Cleanup to be held on Sunday

The recently formed Cay Hill Community Council will be embarking on its first major project; a cleanup campaign to ready the neighborhood for the current hurricane season.

This coming Saturday 20th July, 2013 the Council is asking all Cay Hill residents to have any garbage and debris in their yards placed on the side of the road or in the dumpsters available. Extra bins will also be distributed the day before. Trucks will then pass through the district on Sunday 21st July, 2013 to pick up all objects found to be discarded.

Also important is the cleaning up of abandoned vehicles and car parts. Like many districts throughout the island, Cay Hill also faces the issue of wrecked and rusted cars and trucks left by persons on the public roads. These vehicles will be confiscated by the Community Police.

The Cay Hill Community Council is urging all residents to take part in the campaign. Keeping the neighborhood clean and appealing is imperative and each resident is responsible for playing their part in the process.

The Community Council is excited to work on this first of many projects and foresees some much needed change coming to the neighborhood.
