Motorists are being advised to follow the rules of the road with respect to the Prins Bernard bridge traffic lights intersection. This is to avoid traffic accidents.
Parts for the traffic lights are expected to arrive on Wednesday and installation will begin immediately on Thursday.
Minister of Public Housing, Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (Ministry VROMI) Hon. Maurice Lake is hoping that the lights will once again be operational within short.
"I appeal to motorists to observe the rules of the road especially at the intersection since the traffic lights at not functioning at the moment.
"Because the lights are out, it doesn’t mean that you don’t have to be conscious while driving through the intersection. Be courteous and observe the rules of the road in order for all motorists to have a safe transit to wherever they are driving too," Minister Hon. Maurice Lake said on Monday in an update pertaining to the traffic lights.
