School Bussing & Shuttle Service for Students & Parents To Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School

The Ministry of VROMI in collaboration with the Board of the Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School, would like to inform the general public of the traffic change which will go into effect as of Monday, August 13th 2012 for the area of Cay Hill due to the incompletion of the access roads leading up to the Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School located on the Jackal Road.

Due to the ongoing civil works, we are kindly asking the public to please take note of the following:

– School hours at this campus will be from 8.00 a.m. – 1.30 p.m.

– Parents are prohibited to access the road leading up to the school on the side of St. Medical Center as construction is still ongoing in that area.

– The access road before the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex will only be accessible to school busses and shuttle busses for the duration of the completion of the access roads leading to the school premises.

– A temporary parking space will be created on the lot adjacent to the current food produce stall on the opposite side of the Photo Gumbs N.V. building. Parents that are willing to accompany their kids to the school premises are welcome to make use of the shuttle system to and from the school premises. Teachers will be awaiting to escort parents as well as their kids onto the school grounds as the shuttle will not be able to bring the passengers to the main gating area as there will still be ongoing construction in that area.

– For the parents in the St. Peters area and other districts with the preference to drop their kids off at the St. Peters campus, they are asked that they do so no later than 7.15 a.m. as then all school busses will lead to the Cay Hill campus.

– At 1.30 when school is out, parents are asked to pick up their kids at the school premises by way of walking on the sidewalks of the access roads. To avoid any incidents along Welgelegen road, the students that are not going with the school bus and are being picked up will not be allowed to walk down to the parking area to meet their parents.

– Please be reminded that this situation is only temporary.

The Ministry of VROMI and the Board of the Asha Stevens Hillside Christian School apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
