Management says it has sufficient capacity from Sint Maarten to Puerto Rico making use of the SMPR-1, our SMITCOMS undersea sub-marine fiber optic cable from St. Maarten to Puerto Rico. however due to an increase in demand for Internet Services Telem Group acquired 300Mbps additional the company recently purchased additional Internet Ccapacity, enabling a faster Internet communications to and from Sint Maarten.

"Customers with DSL service, who may have been experienced an cing inconsistent service due in the peak consumption hours will experience a more stable performance as a result of the upgrade," said TelEm Group Chief Technical officer (CTO) Mr. Eldert Louisa.
Mr. Louisa said the capacity upgrade is part of TelEm Group’s ongoing strategy to keep pace with customer demand for bandwidth and bandwidth-related services by matching this demand with capacity upgrades.
"Our engineers and technicians are now making all the necessary adjustments to the Internet Capacity Infrastructure facility the use of additional bandwidth on the DSL network and we will announce when the upgrade is fully in place," said Mr. Louisa.
