On Sunday July 8th 2012 the Middle Region and Defiance Community Council organized a clean-up campaign for that neighborhood.
Residents were asked to get involved in the clean-up campaign and they came out in numbers. Heavy equipment operators were also at the clean-up for the heavy garbage. The Community Police Officers F. Richards, Juan Statie, Michelangelo Sirvania and Helen Romeo-Christina also took part in the clean-up. The clean-up started at 06.00 a.m. and ended at 04.00 p.m. The officers intend to keep meetings with this community council to discuss the many problems in the neighborhood and to collectively look for solutions to these problems.
