Minister Jacobs congratulated faculty and staff for all they had done to bring each individual student thus far, and were encouraged to continue to do so.

Parents were also congratulated for going the extra mile for their children to get them to this point in their lives, and were reminded that the connections parents have with their graduates would only get stronger as their children ventured out to achieve new goals. No matter how our children grow up or away from us, they still need our guidance and support, the Minister said.

Minister Jacobs congratulated the graduates, expressing pride in their accomplishments, and asking them to now focus on the next big step which they now face. Graduates were encouraged to go out boldly into the world with the solid background they had received here on St. Maarten, academically, as well as socially to be examples of honest, hardworking, dedicated and determined persons, who would hopefully return to St. Maarten to contribute to its continued development.

On Monday June 11, 2012 Minister of Education Culture Youth and Sports attended the Graduation Ceremony of the CIA upon the invitation of the school’s founder Y. Erato-Halley.
