Caricement Sint Maarten on behalf of its parent company, the Colombian-based conglomerate ARGOS, has announced the opening for the 2012 Argos Young Talents Program, which is being made available for the first time in Sint Maarten.
The purpose of the Young Talents Program is to identify potential candidates with expectations to become part of the corporate leadership structure of the ARGOS group. One candidate will be selected.
The training program will gather candidates from Colombia, Panama, United States, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Suriname, and one from the Eastern Caribbean islands (either Antigua or Sint Maarten).
The program comprises of two stages, a three-month general induction at the corporate headquarters in Medellin, Colombia starting in March. The second stage is participation in a special project at one of the companies Caribbean operations, from May to September.
"I commend Caricement St. Maarten and ARGOS for bringing this initiative to Sint Maarten. It is an opportunity for young Sint Maarteners with a degree to submit an application to participate. I encourage our young graduates to take part and reach for the stars.

The Caribbean Sail Training Association (CSTA) is offering Caribbean youngsters the possibility to participate in sailing adventures aboard the Dutch Tall Ship Eendracht.
CSTA has secured two spaces free of costs due to the sponsoring of Maritime School of the West Indies (MSWI). Return airline tickets are also sponsored. The two trainees will have a chance to sail from St. Martin to Bermuda during a week-long crossing of the Atlantic Ocean due to the cooperation of MSWI and Secondary Vocational Education Opportunities (SBO) Maritime Assistant level I.
