On Thursday January 12th at approximately 09.40 p.m. during a routine traffic control, the police stopped a vehicle with license plate M-9349. Due the fact that the driver of that vehicle with the initials D.R.C. from Jamaica could not properly identify himself, the patrol decided to take to the Philipsburg police station to have is identity verified.
During a safety search of the driver a plastic bag containing an amount of marihuana was found. The driver was immediately arrested for the possession of illegal drugs and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station. The suspect was taken to his home which is located on the Backstreet to verify his identity and continue the investigation in connection with the drugs that were found on him. At said address the step-father, mother and brother of the suspect with the initials S.R.L, S.K.M, R.W.M. all from Jamaica, were at home. In the presence of an acting prosecutor a search was done at the home in question. During this search an amount of cash, drugs paraphernalia and several plastic bags containing marihuana were found and confiscated. All persons in the house at the time of the search were arrested and taken to the police station for further investigation.
