On Monday September 3rd 2011 at approximately 02.30 p.m. the Acting Chief of Police Commissioner Carl John and Public Relation Officer, Inspector Ricardo Henson met with several businessmen in the Philipsburg area.
These businessmen expressed their concerns about the crime situation in Philipsburg and other areas on the island. Commissioner John assured these merchants and is assuring the general public that the police department is doing its utmost to make the streets safe and is in the process of executing several plans. These plans will definitely help in suppressing the present crime situation. A brief explanation of what these plans are were given to the merchants. However the police department is also making an appeal to the entire business community and the general public to report any criminal activity they have information of.
