The largest parties UPB and DPB were scheduled for twelve-thirty respectively one o’clock this afternoon. The party Movementu Boneiru Liber (MBL) – to be led by Benito Dirksz of the PRO-party – was up next at two o’clock, according to the Extra this morning. Deputy Anthony Nicolaas, former UPB-politician and currently with the coalition as independent member, will support the party, but is not included on the list.
Movementu Lucha Boneiru was the first this morning in Passangrahan immediately after the opening. According to Alejandro Wernet, who presented the list, the MLB ‘is certainly not a political party’. "We are a group of different persons." The MBL supports a change for Bonaire ‘with room for new ideas and a new system’, according to Wernet. By their own account, the party is assured of some support from senior citizens on Bonaire. This was symbolized by the presence of Chiro Emerenciana upon presenting the list, who described Wernet as a ‘spiritual pillar’ for the movement. Wernet himself is not included on the list. "I repeat, we are not a political party in the old sense of the word, but a group of twelve people (number 1 is Eric Soleana, followed by Elsio Cicilia, Giancarlo Frans, Livianna Frans, Regina Janga, Marcial Quispe Saldaña, Gabriel Pourier, Antonia Janga Frans, Leo Thielman, Efraim Arnold Amelia, Richard Jansen and Iby Seraus, red.). The MLB will elaborate on their viewpoints during a press conference on Wednesday.
