Caribbean Twenty20 2011 – Where stars are born

St John’s Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced the slogan for Caribbean Twenty20 is "Where stars are born".

"In Caribbean Twenty2010 we saw a number of young players coming to the fore. There was Jonathan Foo, Krishmar Santokie and Player of the Tournament Devendra Bishoo putting in outstanding performances so this slogan was more or less inevitable because Caribbean T20 is where stars are indeed born," said WICB Commercial Manager Nelecia Yeates.

"The slogan for Caribbean Twenty2010 was ‘Bring it Back’ and we certainly saw fans bringing it back to the game and coming out in their numbers. In 2011 we are encouraging fans to come out and watch the newest stars launch their careers alongside the established players," Ms Yeates said.

WICB Events Manager Cindy McLean commented, "The WICB is going ensure that ticket prices will be very attractive for all the matches so that fans can come out and enjoy all the pulsating action."

"There will be twelve matches in each country and with the matches in the afternoon and evening we know fans will have the time to come out to the games and those fans not in Antigua and Barbados will tune in to watch the live television broadcasts," Mrs McLean added.
