On Wednesday, September 29th between 09.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m. several police patrols and detectives were directed to the Churchill round-a-bout in front of the Grand Marche in Cul-de-Sac to investigate a possible shooting.
On the scene the detectives encountered the lifeless body of a young man who apparently was shot lying on his back on the street next to the round-a-bout. According to witnesses the incident started on the L.B. Scot road in the vicinity of a roadside snack bar close to the Jose Lake Sr. ballpark. It seems that there had been a problem between two groups of persons at which time shots were fired. It is not clear if shots were fired from either group or from one group. After the shooting the victim in this case by the name of Woodson Lazare was transported/ abducted in a car which was used to flee or leave the scene. The victim for still unclear reasons ended up on his back on the street next to the Churchill round-a-bout. It is there where the victim remained until the police doctor pronounced his death. Both crime scenes were blocked of for the gathering of evidence. This case is in its early stages and detectives and Forensic Dept. are investigating the case to determine what exactly happened, why it happened and who the suspect(s) are that are responsible for the death of this young man. There is much more to be done in this case and the police department is asking anyone who may have any information that can help in this investigation to call the police station immediately and pass on that information.
