This bill regulates the admission and expulsion of aliens in Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (the BES-islands), as it will apply after the change of the political position of those within the Kingdom. The National Ordinance on Admission and Expulsion (LTU) is the basis of this new scheme. In contrast to the LTU, this proposal only the admission and expulsion of aliens.
This proposal outlines the roles and responsibilities for approval and oversight separated. In addition, the "temporary residence permit" re-entry visa, administrative charges for the processing of visas and residence permits, and the severance obligation was introduced. The proposal also provides for transitional arrangements for the entry and residence of the Dutch in the BES until the movement of persons legislation in force.
