On Thursday September 2010 between 05.00 p.m. and 06.00 pm. a raid was carried by several police officers assisted by members of the VKS and detectives at an address on the Well road based on information that came in to the police department about possible narcotics and fire-arms hidden at that address.
The Chief Prosecutor Mr. H. Mos and the Acting Judge Mr. Luijks were also present during this raid. This raid however did not lead to any positive results. One person was arrested on the scene for residing illegally on the island.
The controls continued later down in the evening in the areas of Cape Bay and Philipsburg. During these controls 7 persons from Jamaican, 3 from Guyana, 1 from the Dominican Republic and 1 from Sint Lucia were brought in because of their illegal status on the island.
