At approximately 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27th 2010, the flow of international traffic from fixed line provider TelEm, and Mobile Provider TelCell, via TelEm Group’s International provider Smitcoms, was interrupted with the result that customers have been unable to make international calls.
Smitcoms has reported that it is experiencing problems with some of its telecommunication trunks that carry international traffic to the international gateway.
Technicians are busy working with equipment vendor, Nortel to determine the precise cause of the problem and to restore the international calling service as soon as possible.
Meantime TelEm Group takes this opportunity to apologize to customers for any inconvenience caused.
