The agreements are set in two federal laws. The candidates in the CFT came to St.Maarten on October 26th 2009 to give an explanation of their job and how the finances are ongoing on the Islands.

The Financial Supervisory Board (Cft) is set to temporarily oversee the finances of the five islands and the country. The tasks of the Cft focus on managing the budget process and improve financial management.
