The project will be situated on a terrain of 70,000 square meters at the end of the Caracasbaaiweg between old-Jan Thiel and Brakkeput Abou. A spa and marina will enhance the project. A lighthouse will make it easier for boats to find their way to Puerto Oasis.
Meanwhile, the site is being cleared for construction. "We had kept it quiet in order not to end up with the same problems as phase 2 at the Rif in Otrobanda", says Godett, referring to the rejection of the Venezuelan company Cayco as investor.
According to the deputy, Puerto Oasis has investors from the Netherlands, Venezuela, and the United States. The Venezuelan Eduardo Rojas and the Dutchman Michael Kaspers are registered at the Chamber of Commerce as director.
Twenty-four buildings will consist of studios, apartments, and penthouses, varying in size. The project will be built in an oval shape, in which a series of swimming pools will form a 200-meter long swimming area where waterfalls connect one swimming pool with the next. There will be two artificial beaches on both sides of the swimming pools. Interested investors may purchase an accommodation. Maintenance and rental will be carried out by the hotel. The owners will receive revenues from the rental of their investment. In this, they personally have the right to a stay of ninety days per year in one of their accommodations.
