Our Breast Cancer Awareness Promotion is in it 12th year, with your financial contributions we have made a positive impact on St. Maarten as the feedback from our community has been great.
Projects Planned for 2009 Campaign:
· October 10th Pink Carpet Dinner.
· October 15th Variety Concert – Opening by guest speaker Susan Barnes-Pereira, a breast cancer
· Survivor, professional dancer and entrepreneur.
· October 23rd- Dress in Pink Day
· October 25th- 11thAnnual Breast Cancer Awareness Run/Walk Challenge
· October 28th Annual Movie Gala
· October Month – Breast Cancer awareness display at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library
· October Month Radio Feature " Women & Breast Health"
· October Month FREE Clinical Breast Examination at Doctors Offices
· October Month Banners and posters would be displayed at key locations
· October Month Provide our doctor’s waiting rooms and health clinic counters with Pamphlets with information on Understanding Breast Cancer, Early Detection and Screening, Diagnosis, Treatment and After treatment. Aimed at giving women the facts they need to stay healthy and remind them that The Best Protection is Early Detection in the fight against breast cancer.

Women & Breast Health Action Handbook – Women can find answers to today’s most asked questions about breast health.

We know that there is no sure way to prevent breast cancer, but, it is our hope that through education, women can take measures to catch it early, when it’s easiest to treat.
