Felix Brown: just concluded playing the regular competition for the Yorkton Cardinals in the Canadian Western Major Baseball League. Felix assisted very much to the fact that his team is now going to the playoffs. Felix batted as first bat for the team and batted in the 303 batting average and for the team’s best batter. Felix played ball and himself an asset for the team. He did all of this with 122 at bats. Even though they were two players from the Neth. Ant. on the team Felix Brown is the first Caribbean player to ever play for the Yorkton Cardinals and is well loved among the coaches and players. Playoffs will start July 31, 2009 and Felix is expected back in St. Maarten or Ohio around August 15, 2009

Among our future plans are getting St. Martin players. into the Puerto Rico Baseball High School. We have had talks with the Director Mr. Corea who is willing to assist St. Martin kids in enrolling in the School and develop their baseball skills. Among our other plans are also to get our players in baseball academies develop their skills and do tryouts to become pro ball players while we are also recruiting younger players for the upcoming Caribbean Zone games which we are planning to host for the first time on St.Martin. We are doing all that we can to use baseball as a vehicle to keep our kids in a positive activity and to keep baseball alive while in the meantime assist government in Protecting Our Nation’s Youths.
