On Sunday last students of the Social Formation Program on Saba held organized their first arts exhibition at the Eugenius Johnson Center.
The students of the SFP have been taking art classes for the past several months and decided to display their works. The teacher, Mrs. Patricia Johnson assisted the students in opening and expressing their creative sides. The students were allowed to sell their paintings which was very successful.
The young artist include Damiana Leverock, Alex Zeagors, Matthew Barnes, Sherilyn Hassell and Lary Alexandra Hassell. It is the hope of the Foundation Social Workplace Saba the executing body of the program that the students will now be able to continue their success in art with the knowledge they have acquired. The event was well attended and people who visited were astonished by the pieces of artwork. The materials and supplies we purchased at Van Dorp in St. Maarten.
