Saba’s eldest citizen Ms. Olga Every passed away on Sunday morning at the Hon. Henry Every Old Age Home at the tender age of 99 years.
Ms. Olga as she was affectionately called by one and all that new her celebrated her 99th birthday lat year on November 30th at the Old Age Home amongst many of her friends. she leaves to mourn her birthday Mrs. Jean van der Berg and her loving granddaughter Laverne.
Preparations are being made to have her funeral on Wednesday afternoon at 3.00 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Church in Windwardside. Ms. Olga was a former school teacher at the Government Public School on Saba for many years and taught many persons on Saba amongst some of them were former Lt. Governor of Saba, Mr. Sydney Sorton and former deputy Minister Plenipotentiary Mr. Raphael Sorton. According to many of her former school children she was an excellent teacher and they would always remember her for the good that she instilled into them.
