Lady shot by fiancée

On Wednesday October 3rd at approximately 09.25 a.m. a phone call came into the Central Police Dispatch informing them of a shooting incident that had just taken place at a home on the A. Th. Illidge road in the vicinity of Richardson drive.

 

Several police patrols and paramedics were sent to the scene to investigate what happened. On the scene the investigating officers learnt from onlookers that the suspect with the initials I.M. had shot his girlfriend that she was still laying on the floor in her house. After committing this act the suspect fled in the direction of Belvedere. During the investigation the officers did encounter the victim with the initials S.M. who was bleeding from a wound to the front of her right thigh. She was immediately treated by paramedics and then transported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment and admitted for observation. The Forensic Team came on the scene to collect evidence. This investigation is ongoing.
