Former First President of Parliament of Sint Maarten and Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. drs. Gracita Arrindell and Aruba’s President of Parliament drs. P. Croes, outside the Ridderzaal where minutes before Her Majesty Queen Beatrix opened the new parliamentary year and read the Crown’s Speech on Prinsjesdag on Tuesday in The Hague, the Netherlands.
It was a pleasure to have been present for Prinsjesdag ceremonies. It is a continuation of my duties as MP as well as an opportunity to meet with some key members of the Second Chamber both incoming and outgoing.
I also met in a private setting with outgoing President of the Second Chamber of Parliament Gerdi Verbeet who will be stepping down after eight years.
