"Wachtmeester 1e klas" Rene van de Berkt of the Royal Netherland Marechaussee was recently decorated with the "Gold medal" in the presence of his collegues on Bonaire.
He was granted the award for 36 years of faithful long and loyal service. The decoration was pinned on by Lieutenant General D. (Dick) van Putten, commander of the Kmar. Lieutenant Colonel WMCE Mennen, commander brigade Kmar Dutch Caribbean, was also present. Of course there were congratulations by his colleagues and flowers for his wife.
