One of the main objectives of the board that governs The Raoul Illidge Sports Complex (RISC) is to have the facilities cleaned and repaired by August 1, 2009 in order to better accommodate the many users of the facilities.
The board would like to take this opportunity to invite the general public and the users in particular to sign up to assist us in making St. Maarten’s most used sports complex a great place to be once more. Businesses are also encouraged to participate not only through contributions, but also by offering employees to assist with the clean up and repairs. For more information on the clean up and repair campaign or to rent parts of the facilities feel free to contact the managing director at 5813301.
On Saturday July 11, 2009, the first phase of the general clean up at the Raoul Illidge Sports Park (RISC) got off to a start.
On behalf of the Foundation for the Advancement of Development of the Public, Recreation and Sports – St. Maarten which governs the RISC, the President would like to thank all Board members for their support and active participation in the clean up activities at RISC on Saturday.
A special thanks to:
The director, Veronica Jansen-Webster
and our many volunteers and contributors:
Hansel Jones (Builders Paradise)
Boykie Mendez (Clean St. Maarten)
Jairay Jacobs of CIA
and Angelo Brown
for their active participation in the clean up activities mentioned afore.
Without you this would not have been possible.
The board and management are also asking the general public to help us take care of the facility. Let’s stop the vandalism and defacing of the premises so that everyone can enjoy and benefit from the sports complex.
