Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs closed for “retreat” on Friday

Great Bay, St. Maarten-The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs will be holding its "Ministry’s Conference" on Friday, January 28th 2011 and consequently all the offices of the Ministry will be closed to the public on this day.

The "Ministry’s Conference" is a form of retreat at which the Minister will present her vision to the entire staff of the Ministry under the theme: "The Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports – A service organization."

All staff of the Ministry will be attending the conference which will be addressed by the Hon. Mario Michel, a former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Human Resource Development, Youth and Sports of St. Lucia who currently serves as Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court assigned to the High Court of Justice in Antigua and Barbuda where he is the Senior Judge on a three-member panel of judges.

The "Ministry’s Conference" will also serve as a team-building exercise all in an effort to deliver much better service to the population.

The Ministry regrets any inconvenience this may cause to the public, but will resume normal functioning on Monday, January 31st 2011.
