 Students travelling to Holland

This year, 89 students were granted study financing for Holland by Government of St.Maarten. On Friday August 1st 2008, 81 of the students will depart St.Maarten to further their sutdies in Holland. The students will depart on KLM flight, accompanied by Calvin Mardembrough (head of study financing) and Commissioner of Education, Sarah Wescot Williams. While in Holland Commissioner Wescot Williams and Mr.Mardembrough will meet the board of the St.Maarten Student Support Services and visit cities to see how the students are adjusting to their new environment. UTS’s Service Market Manager, Michanou Arrundell presented the students with a UTS backpack containing a cell phone, t-shirt and other information. SMITCOMS presented students with a Natternet bag containing their own St.Maarten prepaid phone number, $5 credit to call home and tokens from the company.
