WILLEMSTAD — The case in summary proceedings between the Lions Dive Hotel and Sea Aquarium was discussed last week in which Lions Dive demanded that the construction of a substation next to Royal Resorts for the undersea-project of Adrian ‘Dutch’ Schrier be stopped.
The construction supposedly obstructs the view from the hotel rooms and the two restaurants. During the discussion of the summary proceedings, parties decided to enter into negotiations again to solve the matter amongst one another. A date for the negotiations has not been set yet. Therefore, Lions Dive’s lawyer chooses not to elaborate on the case yet.
The memorandum of oral pleading from Sea Aquarium states, amongst others, that Lions Dive had agreed with the substation-project in June last year. The repairs by CPA have been delayed due to weather conditions. Moreover, the hotel guests of the surrounding locations must be taking into consideration. However, Sea Aquarium is in possession of the necessary permits, and there is no question of breaching the concluded agreement, Sea Aquarium states
