Financial analysts from four Caribbean countries, the USA, the Netherlands, Panama, Mexico & Nigeria were all present at the Maho Resort on Monday July 6th 2009 for the Money-laundering workshop that is being held from July 6th to July 12th 2009.
A total of 32 participants are expected to take part in this workshop. The first group is expected to train from Juy 6th – 12th, while the second group will be training from July 9th to 12th 2009.
The training is organized by the Antillean Reporting Center for Unusual Financial Transactions also known as MOT & the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligience Units.
Antillian Finance Minister Ersilia de Lannooy was present to start the workshop.
Finance minister of St.Maarten Xavier Blackman, Constitutional affairs Commissioner William Marlin, Government advisor Mr.Richard Gibson Sr. & Julian Lopez-Ramirez Director General of Customs for the Netherlands Antilles were also present for the first day of the workshop.
